Welcome to Southern Peninsula Trail Riders Club.
We are an ATHRA (Australian Trail Horse Riders Association) club which was formed in 2011 by a group of friends that wanted to meet more people that shared the same interests. The Mornington Peninsula is an amazing place for horse riding with a wide variety of riding destinations such as beach and bush rides.
Today ATHRA boasts over 115 clubs nationally with a membership base of approximately 3500 members. ATHRA is structured to optimise the benefits to its members, it has a National, State and Club based management.
Southern Peninsula Trail Riders Club adopts our club practices based on ATHRA's rules, regulations, code of conduct etc, we are primarily a leisure trail horse riding club that provides to its members the ability to ride anywhere that permits horse access and with any ATHRA club. What this means is once you become an ATHRA club member, you belong to a national organisation, which effectively opens up the whole of Australia to our members and wherever they travel with their horse, they’re sure to be welcomed by the local club and enjoy the riding and hospitality of that area.
